Biography
I love making illustrations, comic books, and crafty things. As a kid, I spent every moment drawing, reading, and daydreaming. I loved making moveable, hand-drawn, paper dolls: they were the main characters of the stories I created!
I actually have no formal art training apart from few painting classes I took 'ages' ago. I've learned all I know myself.
I work in a very tiny studio filled with children's books, comic books, art books and ball jointed dolls. My work is mainly anime-styled but also inspired by fairy tales, Art Nouveau, European graphic novels with a penchant for gothic imagery and classical fantasy themes.
My working technique includes watercolors, pencils/pastels and markers with a painting style that often mix all these techniques together. My illustrations have appeared on several books and magazines all around the world, and in 2013 I have been selected for inclusion in Spectrum 20: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art.
